They're getting ready for us too!

Carly, the director at MOST, sent an email yesterday saying the water filters had been delivered to the Mission Center in Nicaragua.  It's cool to think that some of the materials are there waiting on us - and just maybe the people are anxiously awaiting our arrival!  Carly attached the following picture:

Jose and Francisco both went to Honduras to pick up the filters and bags of sand and gravel, and bring them back across the border and through customs.  Jose (on left) will be our team driver.  We will spend some time with Francisco also as he is the Volunteer Coordinator for the national church.

Training Day

Our team is busy preparing for our trip to Nicaragua.  Hard to believe it's only a couple weeks away!  Our leader, Carly, came from Michigan to give us some training on the different tasks we will be working on while we're there.

Some of the team was trained on conducting an eyeglass clinic:

Some learned how to set up the water filtration systems:

And some received training on health and hygiene lessons:

Each person on the team has some individual responsibilities as well as team responsibilities.  Please include us in your prayers - that our preparations would go smoothly and we would feel prepared and confident when we reach our destination and dive into our work.  THANKS!
